Q. Where did you grow up?

A. I am born and raised in Springfield. I just recently moved to Athens with my fiancé, but I will always call Springfield “home.”

Q. Favorite season or holiday and why?

A. My favorite season is definitely fall. I love the cooler temps and the changing leaves, and it’s fun to go to a pumpkin patch and drink apple cider.

Q. If you had to leave the construction industry entirely and could walk into any other job no questions asked, what would it be?

A. If I left construction and went to a different job, I would probably choose to be a chef. I really love to cook and try new recipes, but I don’t know that I’d be able to handle the high stress, fast-paced environment in a restaurant kitchen. Maybe, I’d be better suited as a live-in home chef for a family!

Q. Pets?

A. No pets at home currently, but my fiancé and his family have lots of Hereford cattle, so I kind of claim them as pets! There aren’t very many in the herd that will let me get close enough to give them scratches, but when they do, it always makes my day.

Q. What is something you’re afraid of?

A. I’m terrified of snakes, and I really don’t like spiders, either.

Q. Who was your hero growing up?

A. I don’t know if I can pinpoint a hero in my younger years, but I know that I was obsessed with female country stars like Shania Twain, The Dixie Chicks and Faith Hill. I sang in an all-female collegiate a cappella group and later a local cover band, so I guess I got to live out my obsession a little bit!

Q. If someone made a movie about your life, which actor would you want to play you and why?

A. I think I’d have to choose Blake Lively to play me in a movie about my life. She’s always been an actress who I’ve enjoyed watching in movies and shows.

Q. If you could have dinner with any celebrity, who would it be?

A. I’d choose to have dinner with Chrissy Teigen – 1. Because she’s a fabulous cook & 2. She seems like a super fun person to be friends with. Also, I wouldn’t mind hanging out with her husband John Legend!

Q. If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

A. I would choose to see the future. I don’t know if it would be good or bad for my anxiety, but I’d like to think it may help me to make informed decisions.

Q. Favorite Disney character?

A. My favorite Disney character would be Cinderella. More recently, I’d say that I really like Moana. She has the spunk and the stubbornness that I see in myself, so I can relate to her.
