As a fourth generation owner, Mike grew up in the construction business holding positions such as truck driver, estimator, project manager and now company president. His on-the-job education, passion for the industry and overall strategic vision and guidance has made Mike a unique and effective leader. “I am proud of so many great things about this company,” says Mike. “Our people have an irrepressible spirit and skill that enables us to take on projects of any degree of complexity.”

Vice President

As Vice President, Tyler has extensive project management experience and leads the company in establishing standards for operations and procedures. Tyler’s forward-thinking, progressive style keeps O’Shea ahead of the curve and allows us to constantly improve the way we serve clients. “One of the best parts of my job is the satisfaction of seeing a building created and an owner’s needs fulfilled,” says Tyler. “It’s a great feeling to know that you contributed to something that will improve people’s lives.”

Vice President of Operations

As Vice President of Operations, Mike Sunley leads O’Shea’s “frontline” of men and women who ply their craft to construct beautiful buildings for our clients. Like Bud and Mike O’Shea, Mike inherited his love for construction from his father, a carpenter who once owned a construction company. “I love working at O’Shea because of the family-like environment in which every person is valued,” Mike says. “People who feel valued perform at their best.”

CFO

Evan joined the O’Shea team with many years of experience in financial management, strategic planning, and leadership. He oversees all our financial operations and plays a key role in developing and implementing our strategic plans. “I’ve heard about how great the people were at O’Shea Builders for many years. Since beginning work here, I can say that it’s even better than expected. Everyone I come across is passionate about helping fill our clients’ needs and making the construction process easy and enjoyable. I’m happy for the part I get to play in making O’Shea Builders successful.”

Treasurer

Managing all financial responsibilities for O’Shea Builders, Jana is actively involved in the fiscal aspects of every project. She has a unique ability to look beyond the numbers to see the big picture of every opportunity while also helping ensure the financial viability of our company and client partners. Jana enjoys any book with a fairytale ending and likes to see the end result of each project. “I love seeing the lifecycle of a project, from the planning stages all the way to the final product. It’s fascinating to see how it all comes together,” says Jana.

Director of Pre-Construction Services

With more than 25 years of experience in building design and construction, Greg leads O’Shea’s Pre-Construction Services team, working closely with clients, architects and consultants to understand project expectations and guide the project team in the early stages of design and construction. He also monitors costs and schedules throughout the planning and design phases. “Our company excels at staying on the forefront of an ever-changing industry to better serve our clients,” he says. “At the same time, we keep our culture a priority as we continue to grow and evolve.”

Director of Project Development

As Director of Project Development, Jon Feekes sets up our clients’ projects for success with his planning, budgeting and estimating prowess. Jon has a warm personality and a passion for helping people navigate the construction process. Creative yet detailed, Jon says his job provides variety and adventure – and the opportunity to work alongside great people. “The culture at O’Shea is unique in that it is highly collaborative,” Jon said. “It’s a fun, challenging and empowering place to work.”

Production Estimating Manager

John Adams joined the O’Shea Team in 2015 and started as an Estimator in our Peoria Office. Several years later, John moved through the ranks and into the Production Estimating Manager role. John works with the operations team throughout the preconstruction process in reviewing plans and specification for constructability issues and determining general requirements on the project.

Brand Director

As O’Shea’s Brand Director, Bridget helps articulate the O’Shea brand and makes sure it is seen by the right people, in the right places, at the right time. With a degree in journalism, Bridget says the best part of her job is writing proposals. “This is not your typical construction company, so as a writer, I’ve got a lot of great material to work with! Our tagline 'Born to Build' says it all – the people I work with love what they do and it shows.”

Director of People Operations

Josh Frye joined the O’Shea team in 2018 and has been an essential player in our Employee Development department. Now as the Director of People Operations, Josh will advise and coach all levels of management on leadership skills, policies and programs and continue to make O’Shea Builders a great place to work. “Being a great place to work is a badge of honor. I’m enthusiastic about the positive impact O’Shea Builders creates by giving our team members best in class experiences so they can go out and be great at anything they do.”

Director of Business Strategies

As Director of Business Strategies, Harry helps in developing and implementing effective business strategies for O’Shea Builders as an organization and for individual team members. He also helps support other areas like leadership development, business development, data analytics, and operations improvement. “I love working with the people here at O’Shea. I am thankful to be a part of a high performing team that that aims to help the communities of central Illinois thrive through understanding of, involvement in, and commitment to doing our part for the greater good.”

ERP System & Risk Management Manager

As the Manager of ERP Systems & Risk Management, Kala Wells has led the way in our conversion to a new ERP (enterprise resource planning) system. She works with our construction administrative team to grow this system and ensure that we are utilizing it to its full potential. “I love working with teams throughout the company and contributing to O’Shea’s mission of creating exceptional construction experiences.”
