As a fourth generation owner, Mike grew up in the construction business holding positions such as truck driver, estimator, project manager and now company president. His on-the-job education, passion for the industry and overall strategic vision and guidance has made Mike a unique and effective leader. “I am proud of so many great things about this company,” says Mike. “Our people have an irrepressible spirit and skill that enables us to take on projects of any degree of complexity.”
As Vice President, Tyler has extensive project management experience and leads the company in establishing standards for operations and procedures. Tyler’s forward-thinking, progressive style keeps O’Shea ahead of the curve and allows us to constantly improve the way we serve clients. “One of the best parts of my job is the satisfaction of seeing a building created and an owner’s needs fulfilled,” says Tyler. “It’s a great feeling to know that you contributed to something that will improve people’s lives.”
Managing all financial responsibilities for O’Shea Builders, Jana is actively involved in the fiscal aspects of every project. She has a unique ability to look beyond the numbers to see the big picture of every opportunity while also helping ensure the financial viability of our company and client partners. Jana enjoys any book with a fairytale ending and likes to see the end result of each project. “I love seeing the lifecycle of a project, from the planning stages all the way to the final product. It’s fascinating to see how it all comes together,” says Jana.
Director of Pre-Construction Services
With more than 25 years of experience in building design and construction, Greg leads O’Shea’s Pre-Construction Services team, working closely with clients, architects and consultants to understand project expectations and guide the project team in the early stages of design and construction. He also monitors costs and schedules throughout the planning and design phases. “Our company excels at staying on the forefront of an ever-changing industry to better serve our clients,” he says. “At the same time, we keep our culture a priority as we continue to grow and evolve.”
With over 30 years of industry experience, Steve manages cost estimating and the subcontractor and vendor bidding process. Leveraging Steve’s vast construction experience and unique skills, O’Shea has developed an extensive cost database. This database and well-defined estimating procedures have allowed our team to quickly and accurately predict project costs. “Every project is unique – that’s why this business is constantly challenging,” says Steve. “I enjoy what I do. I can’t think of working for a better organization or with people who have more passion for building and for making clients happy.”
As O’Shea’s Marketing Director, Bridget helps articulate the O’Shea brand and makes sure it is seen by the right people, in the right places, at the right time. With a degree in journalism, Bridget says the best part of her job is writing proposals. “This is not your typical construction company, so as a writer, I’ve got a lot of great material to work with! Our tagline 'Born to Build' says it all – the people I work with love what they do and it shows.”
Director of Employee Development & Engagement
As O’Shea’s Director of Employee Development and Engagement, Tess Fyalka helps our team become the best they can be. She is an Organization Development Certified Professional, a Leadership Circle Certified Practitioner, and a Crucial Conversations Certified Trainer. “I love my job because it allows me to play a small part in helping every O’Shea team member to steadily move toward becoming the best versions of themselves. And when our teams are operating at their best, we are delivering our best every day for our clients.”
As Principal Estimator, Jon Feekes sets up our clients’ projects for success with his planning, budgeting and estimating prowess. Jon has a warm personality and a passion for helping people navigate the construction process. Creative yet detailed, Jon says his job provides variety and adventure – and the opportunity to work alongside great people. “The culture at O’Shea is unique in that it is highly collaborative,” Jon said. “It’s a fun, challenging and empowering place to work.”
Senior Project Manager
As Senior Project Manager and Field Operations Manager, Mike Sunley leads O’Shea’s “frontline” of men and women who ply their craft to construct beautiful buildings for our clients. Like Bud and Mike O’Shea, Mike inherited his love for construction from his father, a carpenter who once owned a construction company. “I love working at O’Shea because of the family-like environment in which every person is valued,” Mike says. “People who feel valued perform at their best.”

As Director of Business Strategies, Harry helps in developing and implementing effective business strategies for O’Shea Builders as an organization and for individual team members. He also helps support other areas like leadership development, business development, data analytics, and operations improvement. “I love working with the people here at O’Shea. I am thankful to be a part of a high performing team that aims to help the communities of central Illinois thrive through understanding of, involvement in, and commitment to doing our part for the greater good.”
