"Our efforts to focus on developing our team members began several years ago," said Mike O'Shea, president of O'Shea Builders. "In 2008, we opened the O’Shea training room, which at the time could host about 30 people. Over the years, we’ve made training and development a priority in the strategic plan. We created the Employee Development & Engagement function area. We built O’Shea University, which holds up to 100 people."
Tess Fyalka, director of employee development and engagement at O'Shea Builders, added: "From the moment you begin onboarding as an O’Shea team member and throughout your tenure with the organization, training and professional development are an integral part of your journey. Our commitment to developing our team members is even referenced in our corporate vision statement: To build a team so great that we inspire client loyalty for our service. I am proud to say that O’Shea Builders has been recognized as a learning organization that is genuinely committed to helping all O’Shea employees develop as professionals, as team members, and, most importantly, as people."
