O'Shea Builders is serving as Design-Builder for a project with the Decatur Park District at the Scovill Zoo. The project includes construction of a 2,000-square-foot outdoor puma exhibit that includes rock outcroppings, ponds, caves, a glass viewing area for patrons, and an interactive area where zookeepers can feed and train the pumas.
Along with this project, there will be construction of a new animal holding building that will house the pumas when not on exhibit and a new indoor holding space for the existing camels. O’Shea will be self-performing site prep, concrete, pre-cast concrete hollow-core, and carpentry work on the project.
