Learn more about our CFO, Evan Westlake's participation in The Real Men Read Program. This program pairs  male mentors with elementary students for monthly classroom reading sessions, giving each child a copy of the book to take home. As a first-time mentor at Lee School, Evan has seen students grow more confident and engaged with each session, opening up and eagerly sharing their thoughts. The experience has been eye-opening and rewarding, reinforcing the importance of instilling a love of reading early on. Some of his favorite moments include seeing students’ excitement, like a heartfelt hug after receiving a book, and witnessing their progress week by week.
